Are You Making the Healthiest Choices for Your Family?

Here at Nature’s One your child’s health is our highest priority. We believe that making a child’s nutritional environment safer and healthier starts with sourcing the safest and purest ingredients available.
We recognize that the organic movement is not a recent fad for the environmentally conscious family. For many families, their greatest concern and their reason for going organic is the health of their children. Children have higher exposure to many environmental contaminants because they drink more water, eat more food and breathe more air as a percent of their body weight when compared to adults.
Our products are certified organic by OneCert!
Baby’s Only Organic® formulas and PediaSmart® Complete Nutrition Beverages are certified organic by OneCert. OneCert is an independent, USDA approved, organic certifying agency. There are many reasons why choosing organic is the best option for you and your family:
- When a food is certified organic, it must test undetectable of nasty pesticides. Some reports have indicated that some pesticides may cause development health issues such as ADD or even possibly autism spectrum disorder. It is important to remember that children are more vulnerable to pesticide exposure because they metabolize, detoxify or excrete environmental agents differently than adults. Some non-organic foods are more likely to have pesticides than others. Foods such as avocados, mangoes, bananas, pineapple, kiwis, eggplant, broccoli, cabbage, sweet potatoes, onions and watermelon are least likely to have high pesticide levels.
- A certified organic food is not permitted to contain GMOs. GMOs are novel organisms created in a laboratory using genetic modification/engineering techniques. Scientists and consumer and environmental groups have cited concerns of possible health and environmental risks associated with foods containing GMO’s.
- When animals are raised under organic conditions they are not given antibiotics or growth hormones and they must be fed organic feed and given access to the outdoors (more like their natural habitat). Humane treatment, good nutrition, and a more natural living environment contribute to healthier animals with a better quality of life.
- Many believe that going organic is much more expensive than buying conventional foods. Often what is not considered is the long-term cost to health when consuming chemicals that are known to disrupt normal body and organ function. Even so, planning and strategizing can help you make organic purchases on a budget.
