Clean Label Project

In a recent study conducted by the Clean Label Project, an independent third-party nonprofit organization, Nature’s One Baby’s Only Organic® Formula ranked highest among all baby formulas tested for purity and nutrition. Clean Label Project released the results of an independent laboratory study encompassing most U.S. baby formula and baby food brands. The testing looked beyond just nutrition to include metalloids, environmental toxins and processing chemicals. These toxins are hidden from the consumer and not considered by government regulations. Yet these toxins can have a profound negative impact on a baby’s normal growth and development.

Nature’s One and Baby’s Only Organic® toddler formulas were tested and rated “Best in Class” for purity and nutritional superiority of all U.S. formulas.

Clean Label Project™ uses data and science to reveal the true contents of America’s best-selling consumer products. The products are tested in an accredited analytical chemistry laboratory for 130 harmful environmental and industrial contaminants and toxins. They look beyond just the product’s marketing claims and ingredients and reveal what isn’t listed on the label – hidden industrial and environmental contaminants like arsenic, lead, antibiotic or pesticide residues as well as positive attributes like nutritional superiority.

Their goal is to educate the public so that they can make informed choices on more pure options as they shop.

“I am proud, but not surprised Baby’s Only Organic® Formula scored so well. After all, unlike many organic brands on the market, Nature’s One owns its nutritional science and sources all its organic ingredients.” said Jay Highman, Founder and CEO of Nature’s One, “Organic is one step toward cleaner food, but purity matched with organic is better. We strive to make organic better.”

For 20 years, Nature’s One has worked to find only the purest ingredients. Jay Highman says, “Purity has not been an easy journey even when using organic ingredients. We have been blindsided by naturally occurring environmental toxins in the past, but as a company we learned how to make our products even more pure.” Highman continues, “It’s our goal as citizens to be the leader in providing the purest formulas for children and we encourage others in the industry to not wait on governmental regulations. We all need to take action in reducing toxins in foods for our most precious consumers.”

The ultimate mission at Nature’s One is to continuously improve upon our products’ quality by sourcing the safest ingredients available. We want to insure every child gets the best possible start…for life.
